Dandruff – Causes & Solution

Everybody knows what dandruff is – either by having experienced it themselves or seeing it on other people. But what exactly is dandruff – and more important, how can you get rid of it?

Dandruff (Pityriasis capitis), also called scurf, occurs due to excessive shedding of dead scalp skin cells. As a matter of fact, it is totally normal for skin cells to die and to flake off. However, many people experience an unusually large amount of flaking, either chronically or as a result of certain triggers.

Dandruff can also be a symptom of other diseases such as a fungal infection, head lice, psoriasis, or seborrhoeic dermatitis. While dandruff is not dangerous, it might be associated with other skin irritations, and dandruff can cause social or self-esteem problems.

You can get rid of dandruff easily with certain shampoos and other treatments that will control and prevent dandruff. Imperial Touch Medicated Dandruff Shampoo, for example, is especially designed to fight flaky scalp build-up and greasiness, while relieving itching associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. Another treatment, Imperial Touch Medicated Scalp Treatment, will also help to fight dandruff and other skin irritations on the scalp. Both products can be purchased on www.Amanady.com

Headache – Something to worry about?

Do constant headaches bother you at work and at home? You may wonder whether your headaches are due to stress (both work-related and due to personal stress at home) or if it might be something else – something more serious than just plain headaches.

There are two primary types of headaches: primary and secondary headaches. Primary headaches (e.g. migraine, tension or cluster headaches) are not associated with other diseases. Secondary headaches, however, are caused by associated disease and the associated disease may be minor or serious and even life threatening.

It may be hard to distinguish between primary and secondary headaches, especially because the symptoms of primary headaches and secondary headaches can overlap. Here a few hints when a doctor should be consulted:

You should see a doctor if the headache …

  • Is severe (the “worst ever”)
  • Different than the usual headaches
  • Associated with persistent nausea and vomiting
  • Associated with stiff neck, fever, dizziness, blurred vision, weakness, drowsiness or confusion
  • Disabling & interfering with work and the quality of life

Those symptoms are not complete so in order to make sure you are not suffering from any serious disease you should consult your doctor if your headache is different than the others you have experienced before.

Get well soon!

If you a First-Timer, you should need to know that the best thing that you can do to your skin is to clean it, keep it clean and to always moisturize. You might be overwhelmed with the numerous skin care products you find on the market today: Anti-wrinkle, anti pimple, anti-aging, bleaching, sunscreen, facial scrubs, cleansers, toners, creams, lotions, gels, and more!

Before you make a decision with what products you want to use, you need to know what kind of skin type you have. Most of the time, skin can either be dry, oily, normal, sensitive, or a combination. There are different products for different skin types. In any case, here are some basic skin care products every man should have:

Razor Bumps & Ingrown Hairs: Razor bumps and ingrown hairs are pesky problems that effect most men. To eliminate and keep away this problem, always use a post-shaving product that contains beta hydroxy acid: Acetylsalicylic acid, (Imperial Touch Razor Bump Solution)

Facial Cleanser: Choose a facial cleaning product for your specific skin type; dry, oily, combination or normal (Imperial Touch Facial Cleanser)

Facial Exfoliator: Gently scrub off all dead skin cells, allowing maximum skin moisturizing (Imperial Touch Stimulating Facial Scrub). Exfoliating also helps smooth any rough areas of the skin.

Toner/Astringent: A good anti-acne astringent with Salicylic Acid (Dr. FeelGood Skin & Scalp Antiseptic) will help tighten skin and remove any remaining dirt or cleanser residue.

Moisturizer: Moisturizers keep skin from getting dry. If you have oily skin, you do not have to moisturize everyday. Instead try to moisturize three times a week.

How much exercise is good for you?

Exercise is not only good for your health; it also improves you feeling great and balanced. In today’s society we get do not get as much exercise as we should. We can do most of our daily tasks and activities without moving too much, therefore it is important that you find another way to get your daily exercise.

Exercising will help you look better, too. People who exercise on a regular basis look more toned and healthy than those who don’t. Of course, you shouldn’t get overboard: Too much exercise can actually be counter-productive and even harmful. Doing just a little bit of exercise every day, let’s say 30 – 60 minutes, will add up over time.

So what kind of exercise is right for you? That’s up to you. If you like aerobics and working out with other people together, why not join a class at your local health club or gym. Or if you are the kind of person that likes to have fun while exercising, why not choose a sport like tennis, soccer, or baseball, where you can move and enjoy yourself at the same time? With so many possibilities to stay active, fit and healthy there is no more excuse for not exercising.
